CCR Revisited

At first thought of as a nostalgic act without meaning (sans John Fogerty & the death of Tom years ago), this rendition of CCR was far more rewarding than originally thought. With Stu Cooke and Doug Clifford, the rhythm section of renowned country/rock icons CCR, it was like digressing to the most publicized era in the annals of music, 1965-1975. With a reasonable facsimile of John singing and a splendid collection of studio musicians in tow, the remaining stalwarts of this Hall Of Fame quartet have successfully brought the songs of a generation back to the public after nearly two decades of silence and languishing in virtual obscurity.  It will never be the same without John Fogerty but any effort to reproduce the catchy tunes of yesteryear are appreciated by the burgeoning hordes of fans who continue to come and listen to the lyrical poetry that set a precedence within the genre when psychedelic ruled the nation.  Plaudits and kudos to the band, thanks to John for writing the lyrics that defined a generation and to Caesars for bringing the music back to the masses.

As always

Peace
