“COMES A TIME”
BONNAROO OF 2006

The dawning of a new year, expectations of events permeating euphoria on the concert horizon and synonymous with given magnitude begin to creep from the recesses of minds and then….jarred memories bring back the redolent wafts of Manchester, Tennessee and subsequent Bonnaroo Festival.  Since the inception of Bonnaroo in 2003, it has rapidly become the most sensationalized, publicized, attended and anticipated musical event since the apex of Flower Power” and Woodstock 1969 in Bethel, New York.  Superfly & AC Productions, along with the juxtaposing PR work of Big Hassle Media have successfully managed to capture the aura of The Golden Age of Rock n’ Roll, utilizing a myriad of iconic bands and embryonic musicians in search of international stardom and augmented by the potpourri of contemporary fan base.

Geeks, freaks, punk rockers, hilljacks and white collar Americana, inclusive of the merely curious to true connoisseurs, it’s a four day sojourn to the Midwest where commonality through music is the criteria and primary goal.

Diversity is the common denominator ranging from melodic to sublime to ethereal and has been the backbone of success since the idea became a reality and will once again be on display during the lazy days of June in Tennessee.

The feeble efforts to reignite the fervor of “hippiedom” in this millennium would falter during the dark days of Woodstock 99 and other assorted projects where greed was more prevalent
than the exposure and perpetuation of the bands and their music. The culmination of applicable skill by Superfly, AC & Big Hassle Media has restored the credibility of the large scale migration to these sensationalized events and the nomadic  traveling by those who are there for the music and bonding through the commonality of the scene.

They have successfully reached the pinnacle of festival exploration and along the way, managed to capture the essence of why these events were originally organized, i.e., Monterey Pop Festival, Atlanta Pop Festival, Woodstock, Watkins Glen and others.

Who would have known that it would take nearly four decades and various entities to have the vision to sat……..the bands are the music, the fans are the song.

Kudos and plaudits to all involved as we ready ourselves to embark on yet another event of historical connotations in Manchester, Tennessee.

Cheers!
